Dr. Florence Muhoza is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, in the Formal Organizations department.

She is originally from Rwanda, and completed her undergraduate education in economics at Trinity College, Hartford Connecticut, in 2019. She earned her both her masters and Ph.D. from Texas Tech University.  Beyond academics, Florence loves music, travelling, playing with children, and walking in nature. 

Her research interests include development, institutional economics and gender studies. Recent research have focused on second best agricultural policies in Sub-Saharan Africa, Women's substantive representation in the legislature, and the effect of the Washington Consensus in Africa.
