Florence Muhoza
Florence is a research assistant at the Free Market Institute and a Ph.D. student in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics. She also serves as a graduate instructor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, and Rawls Business School at Texas Tech University.
She is originally from Rwanda, and completed her undergraduate education in economics at Trinity College, Hartford Connecticut, in 2019. Beyond studying and learning economics, she love music, travel, playing with children, and walking in nature.
Her research interests include development, institutional economics and gender studies. Recent research have focused on second best agricultural policies in Sub-Saharan Africa, Women's substantive representation in the legislature, and the effect of the Washington Consensus in Africa.
